  •  First United Nation Psychology Day was organized on 20 April, 2018 in the department.
  •  Guest Lecture and Special lectures are organized in the Department for Post-graduate and PG Diploma students.
  •  Organized International Conference on Stress, 2005.
  •  Organized International AIDS Conference, 2007.
  •  Organized National Workshop on Stress Management, 2004.
  •  Organized 14th National Conference of Sports Psychology, 2001.
  •  Organized 5th National conference of Sports Psychology, 1990.
  •  Organized ICSSR sponsored National Conference on "Psychology & Society Today: Contemporary Issues & Interventions" on 26 and 27 November, 2016 which was attended by more than 350 scholars from various disciplines, 245 papers were presented in this conference, and many plenary and special lectures by renowned Psychologists., Professors and scholars were delivered.
  •  Psychology Alumni Meet was also organized by the department on 27 November, 2016.
  •  International Projects - Cross Cultural Study of Death Anxiety, 1984, Sponsored by the Veterans Admin. Center, U.S.A. , Project Director- Prof. Anand Kumar, Pain Locus of Control in East & West Countries, 2002, Sponsored by the Univ. of North Carolina, U.S.A. National Projects -Personality Characteristics of High Achieving Sports Women, U.G.C.Project, 2001, Project Director- Prof. Anand Kumar.
  •  UGC Minor Research Project entitled "Happiness of Adolescents as a Function of Personality and Emotional Intelligence", Project Director- Prof. Shambhu Upadhyay.
  •  UGC sponsored Major Project "Exploring Psycho-social correlates of Internet use among Indian Adolescents" Project Investigator- Dr. Rashmi Singh.
  •  Faculty members presented papers at National and International Seminar/ Conferences, attended workshops and also served as experts, chairpersons or resource persons in them and important Board of Studies and other committees.
  •  Post-Doctoral Fellow and Project fellow are engaged in the department in research activities funded by ICSSR and UGC.
  •  e-lectures by faculty members of the Department uploaded on the University website for reference to students
  •  Regular Faculty - Parents Interactive and feedback session have been organized by the departmentwhich is attended by guardians and students of Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy, Counseling and Guidance.
  •  Internship training opportunities at reputed national institutes are provided to the students.
  •  Twenty eight students of PG Diploma in Psychotherapy, Counseling and Guidance (boys and girls were selected for a needful career counseling and personality grooming training.
  •  Department published two books in the month of May 2017 - (i) "Psychology and society today: Contemporary Researches" (ISBN: 978-81-927212-10) edited by Prof. Shambhu Upadhyay, Prof.Arun Kumar Jaiswal and Dr. Rashmi Singh (Editors), MPS traders: Varanasi and (ii) "Media and Empowerment of Women: Psychological Perspectives, ISBN 978-93-5208-077-9 authored by Dr. Rashmi Singh, Sarup Book Publishers Pvt. Ltd.: New Delhi with the help of partial financial assistance provided by the UGC through Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith.
  •  Six and 28 students of PG Diploma course were respectively selected for various jobs and training programs in Campus Placement.
  •  Co-curricular and Extension work were also delivered in the department in form of Fresher's, Farewell party, Orientation program, participation in NSS Campus.
  •  Teaching methods adopted by the faculty for different programmes include Traditional and ICT methodology both. Practical and first hand experience of the course contents, using group discussion, class seminars by students, are practiced in the department.
  •  Personality and communication skill development is done through interaction with students inside and outside classrooms.
